Oh yeah, to reproduce any of these bugs:
* start a new game all with AIs.
* connect to the server.
* /take <my name> someai

Wait until the client blows up. Sort of random.

* start a new client, reconnect with some other name.
* /take <my new name> someotherai.

civserver dies.

FWIW, here is my initial civserver setup (passed with -r):
/hard
/set aifill 8
/create 1
/create 2
/set xsize 120
/set ysize 80
/start
