I think that embraces much different project. I find that a bit
"confusing". I'd like to follow KISS on the homepage too. Every
important info should be easily findable on a "logical" place.
Especially w/ a focus on new visitors. First impression is very
important i think. Almost every linux distro has freeciv as a default
game, there're many potential players/devs out i think. We need to focus
on them both in the game and on the homepage. If u mean forum that way
as it's available from the "Web Forum" link of the current homepage, i
think the functionality is useful, but i'd like to see (and make) a
better integrated forum to the new page (which doesn't go away from our
site to a completely new design/layout/working page).

Oh i see. Sure i don't say EVERY user should post news. I think we need
3-4 editors for the page, maybe more who has an account for the password
protected admin section, and who r somehow responsible for the content
they publish The visitors should be able to comment these news, not
create them. What i wanted to point is to provide an easy and secure
interface for this 3-4 people to edit the content of the homepage w/o
touvhing the code. Now afaik it's only possible to provide update to the
homepage is send a patch againts web-html cvs module, which is not a
very effective way.

bye, hirisov
