I think, loosing the palace is bad, esp. for beginners, esp. in the
beginning of the game. So I think savepalace is a good thing.

Masonry as a requirement is an other thing. Clearly it is not necessary for
the savepalace option to work. With savepalace=0 I have no opinion.

And if somebody found the time, you can give the player a palace in the
special case mentioned above.

But first posting was about that there is (nearly) no problem.
