When I had only modem connection, the cvs -z3 co took about an hour to 
download.  Which is quite horrible.  Mind you, 40% of it is useless (in my 
opinion) /po, which makes it even more frustrating.  Of course, once you 
have the tree, cvs up is faster, but this first download can kill of any 
desire to do anything at all with CVS.
