The only point I can see with this, is, that a believer of a
non-christian religion _might_ be offended of BC/AD. But then
I think a real believer won't feel offended by another religion
at all.
So just make it translatable. But what do I see? This is done,
since eons. So every translator who thinks that BC/AD is bad, can
change it to his/her like. Even a player can do.
We can put a warning in the README:

This Game contains the very common, but not really political
correct abbrevations AD (Anno Domini) and BC (Before Christ)
If you feel offended of these for some weird reason, you should
change this in the po/*.po file approriate to your language
and liking, before you start the game.
