Is the idea here to get away from hires or from isometric?

If isometric, I think this is a mistake. The strategic advantages of
overhead are small, and mostly a matter of tile size, whereas isometric
has an asthetically nicer feel that is fundamental.

If Hires, then I agree we should move away from it. I suspect, though,
that it is possible to maintain isomorphicality. I recently posted the
lexxy tileset, which is an attempt to repair hires. If it receives
interest, we may be able to get it done quickly. Alternatively, how
difficult would it be to make trident isometric? Maybe with a 30x30
resolution?

Just my thoughts;
