Attached are the two documentation updates requested.

Note I do not recommend the stdinhand.c patch, as I feel this is still 
a development feature, and not a product feature for general audiences.
As such it should not be in the code where it can be inadvertently 
released.

I disagree that extra docu never harms, though in most cases you are
perfectly correct :-).
