Yes, I have found some great sounds and freeciv is now kicking ass (at least 
on my box ;-) )

I am sorry, but I am new to this list. Would someone give me the e-mail 
address of the other guy who developped some sound output.
Well I can only say that my code is working very good and there seems to be 
no problems with it...
