Oops.  I looked at configure.in in Xterm, and it only seems to search
for Xt.  Since the presence of Xt does not necessarily imply the
presence of Xaw (I've heard at least some commercial vendors leave it
out), I jumped to the conclusion that Xterm doesn't use Xaw.

Yes, though I freely admit that I don't have any experience with X
programming.
