Yes, i don't see the need, personally, because i read both mail and news
in the exact same way, but I understand why someone might want it.
What I am a bit afraid of might be a invasion of noise due to the lower
difficulty in getting to the groups.
I think most serious contributors/users are capable of subscribing to a
maillist, don't you think?
