Subject: [Freeciv-Dev] Additional metaserver?

Finally I've started hacking the metaserver (After a bit of pressure
from Reinier Post, thanks btw :), so we can get an additional
metaserver running. But where should it run? I don't think that more
than 2 servers is necesary, and I would be happy to keep running
the one on platinum.daimi.au.dk.

At the moment the metaserver only receives udp packages from the freeciv-
servers that get started. There has been some discussion if the metaserver
should be able to contact the freeciv-servers with various messages like
"You're running an outdated version, please upgrade to blah....".
Instead of that, there'll be a port where the freeciv-servers can
connect and pick up this additional info, since I prefer that the
metaserver is "dumb", but suggestions are welcome.

PS I would prefer that the seperator token, used in the messages the
freeciv-servers send to the metaserver, be changed to ':' , or
   something else than '\n'
