Recently, we have the protocol changed to network byte order.
I assume the server and the metaserver must use the same protocol ?

 But where should it run? I don't think that more

Add a news button in the connect window.
In the news we can put
        - latest version number.
        - the address of the freeciv http site.
        - Release announcements or info.
