Well, if I'm qualified to teach them the basics of the subject, I figure
I ought to know where they should start reading.

I don't "object" to it, but I recognize that it doesn't work for everyone.
If someone wants to pay me to save them some time, great... that's why I
pay someone to repair my truck, because I don't want to take the time to
learn how to do it myself, and I really don't like working on it even when
I do know how to fix it.
