There are a few problems with these statements.

> There Is nothing accurate it what he is saying.
> 1. Linux is not a clone.

Linux is a clone. This is an undisputable fact.

> 2. Linux is the Kernel.

You contradict this in your statement #5 below.

Linux may technically be "the kernel" but the popular and accepted
definition of Linux includes essential bundled applications (such as a
shell).

Furthermore, if Linux is strictly the kernel, and it just happens to be
bundled with other software, then it would be argued that Windows itself is
"just the kernel" and happens to be bundled with other software, too.

Point is... either way you look at it ("just the kernel" vs "kernel +
apps"), you have to use the same standard across the board, which makes the
point totally moot.

> 3. Linux began in 1991 without any Unix code.

And? He said it was a clone of a 20-plus year old OS. He said nothing of
when Linux began. His statement was correct to that extent.

> 4. Linux is GPL and Unix, FreeBSD is not GPL.

Who cares? This, too, has nothing whatsoever to do with his statement.

See my comments above in response to #2.
