Of course, the Open Source movement is bigger than any particular OS.  

But while discussing whether to install a wine-specific linux distro or just 
a good linux distro and then add wine, I don't think it is helpful to 
suddenly be discussing a different OS altogether.  Newbies may well think of 
it as just another distro, in fact, the one that the "experts" on a linux 
discussion list recommended.
