I don't know where the moderating idea crept in, but I don't think anyone
wants the entire list moderated. My understanding is rather than
automatically taking EVERYTHING sent to discussion@xxxxxxxxx as it is now,
we would restrict it to only people subscribed to the list. That way, any
spammer who collects that email address won't automatically get to send
spam to all ACLUGers. It is all automatic, so no human moderating is
involved.

I think someone said we could put a form on the web site to allow those not
subscribed to post a question, and that could optionally be moderated by a
human. I don't think that option is really any easier than subscribing, if
even for just one question. Of course, I'm not familiar with the list
software, so things might be different than that.
