Nate, I'd like to add a link to your page from ACLUG if possible.  Or, 
if you'd like to rewrite it a bit to fit the ACLUG style, we can put
it right up on www.aclug.org (you'd get full credit, of course).  I'm
afraid we'd have to lose a bit of the editorializing, although I have
first-hand knowledge that "ornery" is really understating the problems 
with them :-)
