I've had good luck with Courier, and I use it myself for this purpose.
Dovecot can be odd, and has had some compatibility issues with
OfflineIMAP in the past.  I'm not sure, but I think most of these have
been addressed via fixes on their end and workarounds on ours.  I don't
know much about Cyrus.
