I've been using dovecot quite happily for serving up my gmail, which I
download into MailDir with offlineimap and then read with wanderlust
(both literally and figuratively).
Dovecot was easy to set up (at least on Debian), seems pretty fast, is
definitely standards compliant, and is actively developed.
Can't say much for or against the others.
