Kde's login manager (kdm) can have auto-login, if you are sure of the physical 
security of the computer, or if you don't care. I have never set it up that 
way, but I have setup some systems with kdm allowing passwordless logins, and 
the icon/user (eg click on username, and hit go)

Or of course, there is what I use at home for the general use computer: 4 X 
sessions, one for each person. (The only problem was initially it only had 64 
mb of ram, so it had to sometimes swap, but with another 256 mb (~$30) it 
doesn't touch swap.) Just give everyone Ctrl-Alt-F(7-12) key combos, and each 
time you reboot (which shouldn't be often) setup the X sessions again.
