In the log it looks as if you connect, but I don't see an IP address.  Only
IPX and Appletalk

the 'lcp timeout' line indicates you were unable to get an IP that was
acceptable so it disconnected.
I had to request a 'bogus' ip address from the server and it then assigned
me a valid ip and did the rest  of the connection.
Maybe I could help more if I had all of the scripts you are using.

I assume you have the server set up to NOT require a login.
