We are running such a list at sunsite.auc.dk already.

But it might be a good idea to "move" this to complete.org/freeciv.org
so we have all the mailing lists at one place.
In the meantime if anybody would like to use this list you can
subscribe by sending a mail to freeciv-alert-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
but I guess pretty soon this will only work as a locale version
of the freeciv-alert@xxxxxxxxxxx :-)
