Actually, I find that the intel dialog is annoying to get to / navigate
(at least in gtk).  I have to select a player, click on a drop-down,
select 'intelligence', then navigate that GUI.  The more that can
reasonably be put on the main screen the better.

As for removing reputation from the game: what effect does it have on
all-human games?  In all-AI games you can do the equivalent with the AI
love concept.  With both, going into anarchy when breaking treaties in
rep/dem (or -- as it was in civ1/civ2 -- refusing to break treaties
unless you have Eiffel or go into anarchy) is likely a good idea.
