FWIW I have both MingGW/MSYS and Cygwin installed, as well as libpng,
libz, SDL. I regularly use it to compile DOSBox CVS so I can play Master
of Magic. :-)

I only use Cygwin to run autogen.sh. Cannot seem to find a decent native
autoconf and automake.
