I have libxaw7 as well.  The version claims to be 4.2.1, but I suspect 
that's just the X version (which may or may not be significant).

It seems likely the error is dependent on something else, for instance 
translation (although I tried with German locale, and still had no problem).

Perhaps we could try to narrow it down by figuring out what causes the 
crash.  Is it a specific type of message?  I didn't see anything unusual 
in the message window...
