there's a new civworld version on the ftp site in incoming/

civworld_jan17.diff-against-freeciv.bz2
civworld.README

It's not quite as complete or tested as I might have wanted, but since
I'll be out of touch for the weekend, I thought I might let it into the
wild.

new features include:

* new city dialog "ported" over.
* more server settings added to Initial Options.
* many minor features such as the ability to tag something you're
  building as "bought".
* many bug fixes.
* reduced code size by 95k
* see the Changlog for details.

If you haven't looked at civworld yet, try it, play around, you don't
see size 100 cities every day.

The biggest bug unfixed is that memory is not freed when loading a game
inside civworld.

The biggest missing feature is the ability to edit rulesets. Other
people might disagree. Diplomacy and spaceship editing are also missing.
Patches are welcome.

standard boilerplate: find a bug, send me a bug report. If one more
person than me cares about an issue, I'll be much more likely to try
and fix it. want a feature? tell me about it. it probably won't happen
if you keep it to yourself.
