I am merely pointing out tha fact that hardly anybody would bother to do that, at least in games I have seen, and that the benefit is much smaller than I have seen in Civ2.

I have also checked the Apolyton Civilization Site Forums. It seems that the formula is not exact, but certainly close enough for the purpose of Freeciv, considering that we have ignored several other factors used in Civ2. The upshot of all this is that the multipling factors are applied incorrectly in Freeciv. And I think it's important to fix it.
