  This is a bug in sawfish: it defaults to saving window states on exit, which
is not often appropriate (image viewers are another place where this can cause
problems).  People have complained on the mailing list, and John Harper (its
author) has agreed to switch it off by default in the next release.  In the
meantime, you can turn this off in your customization dialog box, I think..
