PGP.  The original one--everything else is a copy.  PGP was around before
Win 3.1, and is still wideley used.

The new GnuPG does the same thing, an is completely 'free' (as in
freedom--PGP is also free as in beer).  I don't know how well GnuPG
interopoerates with Windows.

I also don't undertand how this relates to viruses... but oh well.
