[aclug-L] Case/CPU fan noise

I purchased one of the 'Bare Bones' 1GHZ systems that "National Computer"
has listed in the Sunday Newspaper for the past two weeks, to build my wife
a faster computer.

The only trouble is.. the system fan(s) produce a high pitched "BUZZzz.."

I have double checked to make sure that the cables are as clear of the fans
as possible with the drive set-setup.

The wife claims that she can not work with the sound...

What's a guy to do to reduce the noise and yet keep the system cool with out
spending many $$$$ in doing so??
