For the record, I think this is great. I have been on this list for 2
months now......and there has been more communication, discussion and
exchanging of ideas in one day then there has been in 2 months.
Not that I think the negitivity and bickering are great....its
not....but, sometimes some very positive things can come from these
situations.....for one thing.....good ideas....its like brainstorming
sessions and you have a deadline with only so much time to get the
project done.
About the Saturday Sales.....today is the first time I can recall
hearing about them. I went to the website notice that they are held on
the second Saturday of each month at 540 N. West ST (Bingo Casino). The
last one the website says anything about was on June 9, 2001. Was this
one the last one held? Or has there been one recently. These are the
types of things newbies would interested in. Furthermore, I would like
to help out in some of these events.
Also, when I first signed up on the ACLUG website I would go to the
calendar and see there is never any events scheduled to happen in the
future. There is information about what is said that takes place and
when the meetings are supposed to happen and when things happened in the
past; but, it doesn't show anything for the future. So, where is the
ACLUG going according to the Calendar....nowhere.
My point is.....if you/we want new members and current members to get
involved.....then we have to at least show them things on the calendar
that they can get involved in. Let's not keep people guessing about
what's going on. Lets get rid of the Tribal Knowledge and freely share
with the group.
Man, am I going to be dog tired by the time the meeting rolls around
tomorrow.....at least its only a 10 hr work day...I'd better get to bed.
;-)
P.S. I like seeing the Communication. :-)
