Okay,
Crucify me for putting Windoze back on my machine, but I can't check email without it.  I can't find any software to see what port is running.  My modem works on COM 2 which is what I had on 5.2, then I switched to 6.0 and it didn't work, again switching to 5.2, it stopped working on 5.2, *sigh*
If someone can tell me where to find some documentation on the internet and programs that fit on floppy, 1.44 MB, because I don't own a CD-R, but I have RedHat 5.2 Deluxe that came with 3 CDs and one has three books in PDF format including:

Maximum RPM
Learn Linux in 24 Hours
Linux Unleashed

The RedHat 6.0 comes with 6 CDs and I love all of the stuff they gave me but that has no documentation for PPP programs, because Feist (aren't every ISP?) is a Dial-Up service.

My modem is fine, and now I will go, because I just wrote a novel of an email, thanks for all that you guys said to help, and BTW, when is the next meeting?
third Tuesday of this month is the 17th, and I assume it is in the usual room?  I am just asking because I haven't been in a long lime.  One more thing, I found a BBS on Telnet that originates in Wichita called Midnight Machine and it is a strictly gaming BBS.

Bye,
