I can't tell from the web site whether the Free Solaris offer will
actually
support SMP. My recollection is that SCO's Free*Unix license deal is
only
a UP license, not MP. (But that's not clear from the web site now,
either.)

For a dual P5, I'd say your best bet is Linux 2.2. There are several
2.2-based
distributions in beta right now, and I've heard that they automatically
detect
MP and configure themselves accordingly.
