Seeing the word Netcom invokes lots of memories:))

I used to use Netcom and Portal around 92/93. I used to share couple of
accounts with a friend.. i would telnet to netcom or Portal account from
WSU using account in VAX/VMS machine and then get on the
internet+irc..using lynx browser and ircii. I didnt have a computer at
that time..(I was not even a computer sc major then and knew squat about
computer)but i managed to get a hands on a AT&T dumb terminal and a
2400bps modem. ..hooked them up..call WSU VAX and telnet to Netcom
account. Now looking back i am surprised to experience the fast and
sweeping changes in just about 6 years. I had pretty good experience
with Netcom. Anybody using them locally here..has account with them?

I wonder what would happen in next 6 years.....

Best,

Mohammed
