I know that some of you have been following, and trying
to help me with, my attempts to configure my linux box
to connect to the internet. Well, tonight I finally did
it, but not through my ISP (Southwind) rather through
another ISP (PowwwerNet). I used the network config
tool in xwindows. Just on a lark, I configured another
ppp interface to PowwwerNet to see what would happen.
It connected and set up the ppp connection first try.
So, it seems that my problem is with Southwind and not
the internet in general. That begs the question, what
is it about Southwind, or my setup, that is keeping me
from establishing a ppp conection? I don't really want
to change ISP's, so I hate to consider that. I would
much rather learn from this and find out what the
problem with Southwind, or me, is. Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Wayne
