the following is what i get when i try to compile kernel 2.1.122 with
APM support... what is wrong?

"apm.c: In function `apm_get_event':
apm.c:474: fixed or forbidden register was spilled.
This may be due to a compiler bug or to impossible asm
statements or clauses.
cpp: output pipe has been closed
make[1]: *** [apm.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.1.122/arch/i386/kernel'
make: *** [_dir_arch/i386/kernel] Error 2"

thanks in advance,
jesse
