courier-imap 1.4.3

As I mentioned I already read that, and the mailing list postings. It
doesn't make me any wiser though :-(

What would the expected behaviour be of modifying the UID as cached by
offlineimap?
I did the following:
1. Turned off fetchmail on the server.
2. Cleaned out the cached UIDs as described in the manpage on the
client
3. Ran offlineimap --> no errors
4. Ran offlineimap again --> UID invalid on one box
5. Modified the cached UID value in ~/.offlineimap/Repository-<remote
location>/FolderValidity to hold the value that offlineimap reported
getting
6. Re-ran offlineimap --> UID invalid on the same box
Output:
therning@pc67148596[~].$ rm -rf .offlineimap/Account-work
therning@pc67148596[~].$ rm -rf .offlineimap/Repository-work_rem
therning@pc67148596[~].$ offlineimap
therning@pc67148596[~].$ offlineimap

therning@pc67148596[~].$ offlineimap
WARNING: UID validity problem for folder INBOX.sent.2003-06 (saved 1074565550;
got 1074565220); skipping it
As you can see the UID it got changed (the values were swapped).
