Everything looks good in ifconfig and route ...

As I said I believe the configuration is correct, ping sends data
but nothing comes back, 100% packet loss reported each time.

Now if there's a way to turn ipchains off without actually removing
it that would help troubleshoot my problem but I haven't see any
way to do that?  Am I missing something?
