I don't know if there's native support in newer distributions, but those 
using XFree86 3.3.6 needed an updated X server and agpgart module which you 
had to download from support.intel.com. 

I was able to get an i810 board working with just the standard XF86 3.3.6, 
but it wouldn't autoconfigure. With an i815 chipset board, the same process 
didn't work without Intel's updated server & kernel module. Note that the 
i815 chipset graphics adapter also identified itself as an i810, but as near 
as I can tell, it's _not_ the same chipset.
