I apologize for calling you a moron,
    FWI, the previous Mandrake distro's have been ok, I used them only because
the dhcp setup was easy with my cable modem. I would probably go back to Redhat
if the DHCP daemon was a little easier to set up. That may end soon anyway
because I think I'm going to go to DSL and get a static IP address. I think the
other distributions are a little less prone to errors also but that's anecdotal.
Debian users tend to know more about installation so complaints about the use of
Debian seem rare, Redhat seems to have been somewhat overwhelmed by the recent
surge in Mandrake popularity and the rest ( eg. Slakware, S.u.s.e, Caldera) are
completely dependent on customer complaints to fix the install problems ( maybe 
a
gross exaggeration. ).
