By "all corel applications", I assume that you are refering to Corel
Wordperfect, Quattro, etc.  If that is the case, I had similar problems with
the office suite.  It seems that WP Office absolutely requires that your
printer software be installed ("lp" must be installed, but you don't need to
configure a printer), or the applications will crash and burn.  They don't
even bother to mention why they break.  If you aren't refering specifically
to Wordperfect Office apps--or if this isn't the problem, you'll need to
tell us which applications, and give some details regarding how they die
(error messages, etc).
