The hgopher file that needs to be updated is "DEFAULT.GBM".  It is a simple 
text file, written in the format described here:
  gopher://home.jumpjet.info/00\Begin_Here\References\Link_File_Basics.txt

That's an excellent idea. If you make up a starting list you think would
be useful, I will gladly host it (I'm sure the JumpJet site would also like
a copy).
