I am sending this again, the first time it was rejected.

I have installed a FreeCiv RPM. It installed (under /usr/games) banner, civ,
civclient, civserver, start-freeciv-client. There is a few other things in
there but I don't know if FreeCiv added them. My problem: I run civserver just
fine. It comes up and says Now accepting new clients. If I run civclient, I
get an error message (don't remember, basicly it doesn't start freeciv), if I
run civ or start-freeciv-client the client comes up just fine. I can run
multiple clients and they all show up as connected to the server, and the server
showes them as connected. My problem is when I type start in the server it
kicks off all the clients and gives me these error messages.

1: Loading rulesets
0: Could not find readable ruleset file "default/techs.ruleset" in data path
0:The data path may be set via the environment variable FREECIV_PATH
0: Current data path is: ".:data:/home/tbuck/ .freeciv:/usrshare/freeciv"

Then the connect boxes for the client comes back up.

Any ideal/help?

Thank you.

T. Buck.
