The server 'crashes' are 'cut client connection due to lagging player' bugs
IMHO. These are quite annoying. It's hard to give more information (but see
rt for more reports) because, if you start civclient -d 3 -l logfile the
server is *not* logged. You have to start civserver seperately in order to
get logs.

Another thing, which makes debugging a bit harder in general, is, that
saveturns is a hidden variable in the options dialog *and* is set to 10 by
default. So if you don't know about or forget to type /set saveturns 1 you
will not have a recent savegame available after a crash or bug occurs.
