(1) I think it would be very useful an option to pop-up help screen 
describing new units and buildings acquired through new sciences.

Sure, i know you can click help once you have it, but a popup that 
comes in as soon as you get it is better, i think.


(2) The "help" screen is the very opposite of eye-candiness, and i 
suppose it could be improved a lot, including along with the 
explaination, a bigger image of the building. If there isn't the 
graphic (is there?), a resized+interpolated version of the current 
images would fit the hole.

Same thing for units and wonders.
