I get the same bug on Fedora Core 3. Interestingly, it only happens for
the SDL plugin. If I use the ESD or ALSA plugins it works fine.

e.g.:
$ civclient -P esd

The units show up.

$ civclient -P sdl

The units *don't* show up.
