Hi folks !

I have started building new unit graphics with the open-source 3D software
Blender. About half of my stuff is already on ftp.freeciv.org and i opened a
thread on apolyton to get some feedback about it (there are some images
available in that thread).

The units are true 3D models with animation and different action types, which
can be rendered to image sequences or animations like the commercial games
have them. Most people seem to be quite happy about having animated graphics,
so i want to ask you if there are any efforts made to generally implement
support for animation of unit actions such as attacking, movement, etc. and
"special effects" like nuke explosions, city turmoil and such things ?

I'm not very familiar to the freeciv source code, but i don't think this
feature would be too difficult to implement or would require changing the
whole client structure.
