GtkMenu's aren't that smart. You can use the ComboBox (?) but that is
plain ugly.
This should be fixed in gtk+ 2.0. The latest development snapshot of gtk+
includes menus that are smart enough to insert arrows to scroll to items
outside the screen like in Windows.
