No problem.  (BTW, if you don't supply any -p option, then patch
wouldn't find the files in the subdirectories.  That's why -p0 is not
a no-op.  I'm just guessing that's what your problem was.)

Perhaps.  It's a bit odd that I've seen this too (though not in
relation to the patch,) and I'm using 2.13.  I'll dig through the
usual autoconf places of lament and see if I can find anything out.
