not a bug. in the gtk client, only advances no more than 13 steps away are 
shown as a goal. does this 'feature' need to be better documented? If we want 
to get real slick, make the limit variable from inside the science dialog. 
Maybe a little number with up/down buttons widget, like I've seen used for 
setting time in some things.
